Just like its member states, the European Union is facing the major challenge of creating a suitable framework for investments in energy efficiency and climate protection measures. To discuss the way forward, the German Energy Agency (dena), together with the German Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy and the "Allianz für Gebäude-Energie-Effizienz" (geea) - "Alliance for Building Energy Efficiency", will host a workshop entitled : "Raising Energy Efficiency in the European Building Stock".
The discussion will focus around:
- Europe's strategy to increase energy efficiency in the building sector
- Chances to raise the potential for saving energy with the current approaches
- Implementation of strategies and design of market instruments in different member states
- Improvements needed in the upcoming revisions of the core directives EPBD/EED
