eu.bac's framework organises a networking cocktail 'Making buildings smart --> empowering consumers and delivering the Energy Union cost-effectively', which aims to:
- Help creating better clarity on the terminology of 'Smart Building';
- Look at EU's current policy landscape; and
- Discuss the most cost-effective paths for the gradual trasnformation of EU's building stock into 'Smart Buildings' in the longer term.
Ms. Marie Donnelly, Director for Renewables, Research and Innovation, Energy Efficiency, DG ENER, has confirmed to start the discussion with a keynote speech. The subsequent panel discussion includes persons from industry, European Commission and other stakeholders.
It will be an opportunity to exchange views on this topic with EC officials, MEPs, Perm Reps, trade associations and NGOs.
The final agenda will be circulated in due time.
