The local municipality of Saerbeck (Germany) supported the setup of a local REScoop in the community. Through the cooperative, the municipality and its citizens have financed a local energy park and benefit in the form of energy security, stable prices and financial participation. The energy network is run by the municipality that also manages its own wind park.
