Innovative financing models for energetic retrofits of the municipal building stock – CITYnvest seminar in Lithuania
Innovative financing instruments, such as Energy Performance Contracting (EPC), revolving funds, and citizen- based funding have been developed across the European Union. Those models have proven to be successful in providing financing for large-scale and deep energy-efficiency renovations in buildings. Yet, they have not been broadly implemented in Lithuania nor widely used by local authorities.
The CITYnvest seminar aims to:
1. Raise awareness of existing innovative financing models and how they can be implemented to renovations of the Lithuanian municipal building stock.
2. Demonstrate inspiring case studies that could be replicated in the Lithuanian context.
3. Brainstorm with participants on the future of the innovative financing instruments in Lithuania and the obstacles that could hinder their development.
4. Encourage partnership-building.
The event is mainly addressed to the Lithuanian local authorities, financial institutions, investors, ESCOs and policy makers from local and regional level.
